چکیده
Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) is a fruit with many benefits. Plant growth regulators (PGRs) prove effective in improving the quality and production of tomatoes. Gibberellic Acid/GA PGR that stimulates process flowering, parthenocarpy, carbohydrate mobilization during germination influences other plant physiological aspects. However, because synthetic GA costly, numerous natural ingredients have been proposed as its source, for example, bamboo shoots, vegetable ferns, corns, shallots can improve This study aimed to determine role from various extracts on tomatoes, providing recommendations best extract It was conducted experimental garden at Agronomy Horticulture Laboratory, Physiology Laboratory Faculty Agriculture, Food Analysis Agricultural Technology, Udayana University. research compiled using Randomized Group Design consisting one factor, i.e., type five settings four repetitions. The tomato treatments were E0 = no sprayed, BE sprayed shoot extract, VE fern OE onion CE corn extract. results showed gibberellins significantly affected diameter, thickness, total sugar content tomatoes obtained by applying source gibberellins.

متن کاملOptimization of Growth Regulators for Shoot Induction and Regeneration of Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)
Until now numbers of efforts have been made to deduce the optimized conditions for the in vitro regeneration of tomato plant. The optimized conditions deduced are contradictory to each other and to validate the optimum conditions the present investigation was carried out which directs the use of 1.5 mg/l IAA + 1.5 mg/l Zeatin with full strength Murashige and Skoog’s (MS) medium for the developm...
متن کاملThe Genetics of LYCOPERSICUM ESCULENTUM Mill 1. the Trisomic Inheritance of "Dwarf".
The occurrence of triploidy in the tomato has recently been reported (LESLEY 1925). In 1923 one of two triploid plants of Dwarf Aristocrat, a dwarf variety with scarlet fruit, was crossed with Globe, a diploid with standard habit and crimson fruit. The dwarf habit is a simple recessive to standard, and the yellow skin of scarlet fruit is a simple dominant to the colorless skin of crimson. An F1...
متن کاملCloning, Transformation and Expression of Proinsulin Gene in Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)
BACKGROUND Plants are among promising and suitable platform systems for production of recombinant biopharmaceutical proteins due to several features such as safety, no need for fermentation, inexpensive investment, and fast and easy scale-up. Human insulin is one of the most widely used medicines in the world. Up to now different expression systems including Escherichia coli, yeast and CHO have...
متن کاملOccurrence of Candida orthopsilosis in Brazilian tomato fruits (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)
We aimed to isolate and identify yeasts found in the tomato fruit in order to obtain isolates with biotechnological potential, such as in control of fungal diseases that damage postharvest fruits. We identified Candida orthopsilosis strains LT18 and LT24. This is the first report of this yeast on Lycopersicum esculentum fruits in Brazil.
